VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

Children and Youth Programs

From July to December, we need volunteers who can assist in picking up and dropping off, organizing, and sorting donations for our Children and Youth Programs. We also need assistance on the distribution days for each program. These opportunities are usually 2-3 hours at a time.

Off-Site Engagement

Throughout the year, ResourceWest tables and attends various community events -- resource fairs, farmer's markets, open houses, and more. We encourage volunteers who are well-versed in our programs and work to volunteer to attend these events with and for staff to be a representative of ResourceWest.

Project-Based

ResourceWest has miscellaneous projects throughout the year that we need volunteer assistance with. Some of these include mailing projects, data entry, and other administrative projects. These projects require approximately 1-3 hours once a week, for 1-3 weeks. Data entry projects occur on a regular basis, typically 1-2 hours at a time, several times a month.

Events

We hold multiple fundraising events each year. We need volunteers who can assist in the planning and execution of these events. Opportunities include joining a planning committee and day-of assistance, which includes set-up, assisting during the event with various tasks, and clean-up. Volunteering on an event committee is a commitment of approximately 1-3 hours a week for several weeks, but can fluctuate depending on the work.

Board of Directors

Serving on the Board of Directors is a wonderful opportunity to support the fulfillment of ResourceWest's mission, engage with the community, and utilize your skills and talents in a leadership role. We are currently seeking passionate individuals, who have an interest in community-related issues and concerns, to join our Board of Directors. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain leadership and collaboration skills, build professional and community contacts, increase knowledge of community resources, and an opportunity to make a positive impact in the community.
