Tracie Stanton (she/her)
Executive Director

Tracie Stanton serves as the Executive Director of ResourceWest, strategically leading a team of staff and volunteers dedicated to providing essential needs programs, resource connection, and stability-focused support to individuals and families in the Twin Cities West Metro. Since stepping into this role in 2023, Tracie has led the organization through a period of growth and strategic renewal—expanding programs, deepening community partnerships, and increasing ResourceWest’s capacity to meet the rising needs of local families. She is committed to ensuring that ResourceWest remains a trusted and inclusive space where neighbors can access support, build resilience, and thrive. 

With over 10 years of experience in the nonprofit and philanthropic sectors, Tracie brings a strong background in organizational leadership, fundraising strategy, and collaborative program design. Her work is grounded in a belief that community-based solutions, when paired with authentic relationships and data-driven decision-making, can create lasting impact. 

When she’s not at work, she loves exploring the North Shore of Lake Superior, especially through hikes, quality time with her family, and coffee dates—with a special affinity for dark roast coffee.

Kirsten Anderson (she/her)
Licensed Social Worker (Spanish-speaking)

Kirsten has been a social worker in the metro area for 20 years and has worked at ResourceWest since 2013. Kirsten enjoys connecting with people, whether it’s one phone call to refer someone to a resource or multiple visits to provide support and address the problems that people are up against.  

Outside of work, Kirsten enjoys spending time with family, going on walks, playing board games, and traveling.

Anab Omar (she/her)
Case Manager (Somali-speaking)

Anab joined ResourceWest in September 2022 as a Case Manager. In her role she supports individuals and families through emergency grants, resource connection, and building relationships.  For her educational background, she attended the University of Minnesota- Twin Cities. Her experiences include impactful humanitarian work across various countries in Africa, where she focused on supporting vulnerable communities and advancing sustainable development efforts.  

Outside of work, she enjoys staying active through playing badminton, reading, traveling to various countries around the world, and discovering new restaurants and coffee shops.

Ally Gall (she/her)

Ally has been working at ResourceWest since August of 2021, and manages all things marketing (think emails, social media, website). She also supports Tracie with fundraising, and plans SpringFest each year! Ally graduated from Hamline University before joining the ResourceWest team.  

Ally works part-time at LTD Brewing (go visit her!), and loves to bake, hike, camp, and write. Her most recent trip was a two-week road trip to Glacier National Park in Montana. Her favorite place to stop for coffee is Munkabeans, for an iced honeyspice latte.

Zach has been with ResourceWest since April of 2024. With a background in youth programming, and experience in schools and other youth focused nonprofits, Zach has a passion for anything that involves connecting with people and will talk to anyone and everyone in the Hopkins and Minnetonka area about the programs at ResourceWest. If you see him around, please say hello! A lifelong Twin Cities resident, and a University of Minnesota graduate, he loves all things local.  

Outside of work, Zach has been a contributor to the local music scene for over a decade, playing singer-songwriter music at venues all over the Twin Cities. He is an avid Timberwolves fan and has recently developed an interest in home improvement projects, both of which he considers himself an armchair expert.

Sara Chovan (she/her)
President

Sara Chovan joined the ResourceWest Board in 2019, and now serves as Board President. Sara appreciates the way this organization is able to focus on local support for local families. Sara is in her 10th year as the Assistant Director for Early Childhood Programs at Hopkins Public Schools. Outside of work she enjoys reading any book that is recommended to her, and taking her dog for walks through nearby parks.

Sarah Batdorf  (she/her)
Treasurer

Sarah is an Audit Senior Manager at KPMG LLP, where she has worked for 15 years. She joined the ResourceWest Board in August 2024. Sarah is inspired by the stories shared by staff and volunteers, and she values the tangible impact ResourceWest has on individuals and families in the community. Outside of work, Sarah enjoys spending time with her energetic puppy, Molly, playing tennis, and completing jigsaw puzzles.

Shannon Andreson (she/her)
Director

Shannon Andreson joined the RW board in 2020. She has volunteered for the Back to School and Winter Warm Wear drives before joining the board after seeing the deep impact those events have on Hopkins Public Schools families. Currently, she serves as Chair of the Hopkins School Board and values the many ways in which RW partners in building a strong, vibrant community where everyone has what they need to thrive.
In her free time Shannon enjoys planning trips to National Parks, reading and learning.

Chantele Burgess (she/her)
Director

Chantele Burgess has served on the ResourceWest Board of Directors for 3 years. With a deep passion for community care and social impact, Chantele brings a personal commitment to supporting families during times of crisis. Inspired by her mother’s work as a social worker, Chantele grew up witnessing firsthand the power of compassionate service and the lasting difference it can make in people’s lives.

Chantele believes strongly in ResourceWest’s community-focused mission and values its role as a lifeline for families facing hardship. Her dedication to equity, access, and empowerment continues to guide her contributions to the board.

Outside of her board service, Chantele enjoys reading and relaxing outdoors—especially listening to live music in the park.

Courtney Davis (she/her)
Director

Courtney has been on the Resource West board since August of 2024. She has been an elementary school counselor for 13 years. She is in awe of the work that we do to support our community, especially our children and youth programs. In her free time, Courtney enjoys reading, gardening, and spending time with family and friends.

Dan Douglass (he/him)
Director

Dan has worked at Emerson for 21 years and is currently the Vice President and General Manager for the Pressure & Temperature business.  He joined the board in 2024. As a resident of Minnetonka, Dan and his wife Kirsten are happy to be able to volunteer at ResourceWest in a variety of different ways. Outside of work, he enjoys skiing, biking, travel, and spending time with his family.

Evan Tsai (he/him)
Director

Evan is excited to join the Board of ResourceWest and continue its mission of helping those that need it.  Evan joins the Board after helming the Veterans Defense Project as its Board Chair.  He looks forward to connecting with West Metro residents in volunteering to fulfill the immediate needs of the unstable and less-resourced that want to be treated like their neighbors.  In his free time, Evan enjoys bicycling, lifting heavy things, and making music with his band, The Family Feedbag.

Annika has worked at SPECTRAFORCE Technologies for nearly two years as a Talent Partner, and has five years of experience in talent acquisition. She joined the board in August 2025. Giving back is important to Annika, and she really connects with ResourceWest's goal of helping families stay healthy, stable, and supported in their everyday lives. Outside of work, she likes to try out new restaurants in the city, attend MN sporting events, and stay active by attending workout classes and playing soccer.
