Stats & More

Here are a few of our program statistics from 2012:

• Over 10,500 customers either called, e-mailed, or came in for assistance;
• Community Technology Center which is staffed by volunteers who assist clients with writing resumes, filling out on-line job applications, and improving computer skills – had over 900 visitors;
• The Starfish Program assisted over 500 unduplicated clients, providing over $6,700 in emergency funding to more than 52 clients, and over 1,000 referrals to collaborating agencies;
• The Back to School program provided school supplies to over 1,155 students;
• The Winter Warm Wear program distributed over 1,800 items of Warm Wear to over 700 children;
• The Toy Chest provided over 3,000 toys to almost 1,300 children;
• Accountability MN – for the 2011 tax year served 804 customers with refunds totaling $1,765,599;
• Children’s Dental Service held two (2) clinics for families with little or no dental insurance;
• Relate Counseling continued their program here providing eight (8) hours of free professional counseling to our clients every week; and
• Hennepin County Economic Assistance Outreach provided two (2) workers twice a week to assist families and individuals with applications for food stamps, cash assistance, and Medical Assistance onsite at ResourceWest.
